The principle and characteristics of A2/O, improved AVO process, step feeding inverted AVO, UCT, modified UCT etc were introduced and summarized. The integrate multi-mode A2/O process was put forward. The biological reaction pool operation was flexible through the optimization design of tank type. The operation mode of multi-mode AVO, equipment selection and the shape of the pond design were introduced as a key point.
