Evaluation from History:Loss and the Way out in Modern Literary History Compilation

中国现代文学史的修撰已经走过了漫长的90年历程,但还远未成熟。这种不成熟性表现在诸多方面,甚至"中国现代文学史"的命名本身都已成为一个争执不下悬而未决的问题,没有一个相对固定的说法可被绝大多数现代文学研究从业人员所共同接受。纷纭乱象的背后,是现代文学史观的"一元性"。我们要超越"进化论"、"阶级论"、"新民主主义论"、"现代性"史观的局限,真正开启双重开放的视野,尤其注重对本土传统文化资源的开放,这就要既向五四新文化传统开放,更要向源远流长的中华传统文化开放。

The compilation of the modern literary history has gone through a long time for ninety years,but it is still far from being mature.The immaturity is seen in many aspects,such as the time of the modern literature,stages of modern literature history,the visual field in the modern literature history,the application field of Marx historical criticism and aesthetic criticism,historical evaluation of modern writers,setting structure of the modern literature,evaluation of the modern literature,the modern literature research methods,and so on,even the name of itself becomes a suspense problem.However,'monism'is the characteristic of the modern literary history behind all these chaos.To discard the concepts of'evolution','class theory','new democracy','modernity',and open our minds in both fields,especially for the local traditional culture,we should keep an open attitude not only to the new cultural tradition,but also to the Chinese traditional culture.
