Comparison of Test Methods for Water Vapor Permeability of Building Exterior Wall Coatings

对比了GB/T 17146—1997《建筑材料水蒸气透过性能试验方法》和JG/T 309—2011《外墙涂料水蒸气透过率的测定及分级》的试验方法异同,并以市售乳胶漆为例详细介绍了JG/T 309—2011中水蒸气透过率的测试方法,表明了减重法测试涂料水蒸气透过率具有一定的合理性和操作性。

This article provided a comparison between GB/T 17146-1997“Test Methods for Water Vapor Transmission of Building Materials”and JG/T 309-2011“Determination and Classification of Water Vapor Transmission Rate（permeability）for Exterior Wall Coatings”. Taking commercially available latex paint as an example,test method specified in JG/T 309-2011 was introduced in detail. Additionally weight loss method was proved to be reasonable and exercisable for water vapor permeability test of coatings.
