摘要
美国大学教学中心致力于促进大学教师发展、提高教育教学水平、改善课堂教学质量和帮助学生有效学习。纵览其历史发展,大致经历了初期建设与探索、持续增长与发展、打造特色与提高三个阶段。美国大学教学中心在其不断扩大和完善的基础上,逐步发展成为一种校内专门性教学与学习支持机构。考察美国大学教学中心的发展历程,总结其特点与经验,对我国大学教师专业发展中心的建立和质量提升有着重要的参考价值。
Teaching centers in American universities have long been committed to promote the development of university teachers , improve the teaching level , better the quality of instruction and help students achieve effective learning . T he historical development of teaching centers includes the stage of early development and exploration , the period of continuous growing and development , as well as the phase of building brand characteristics and enhancement . Based on the continued extensions and perfection , they gradually become the supporting organizations for specialized learning and teaching on campus . Investigation of the development of teaching centers in American Universities along with summarizing its characteristics and experience has an important reference value to the establishment of the centers for teacher professional development in China and its quality improvement .
