Analysis of Enterprise Standardization Strategies Based on LTE Direct Patents

LTE Direct技术是4G演进技术,是3GPP LTE_A标准化讨论的热点之一,本文在对该技术的背景进行介绍的基础上,从知识产权角度,对该项技术的国内外专利申请现状进行了初步研究,包括该项技术的专利申请趋势、主要专利权人等信息,特别是对高通公司在LTE Direct技术领域的专利申请和专利布局情况进行了分析,结合分析结果阐述了该技术的专利布局状态和国内企业可能面临的专利风险,为国内通信企业的4G+标准化及运营战略提供参考。

LTE Direct is the evolution of 4G communication technology, which is one of the 3GPP LTE_Astandardization discussion focus. Based on the background technology,from the respect of the intellectualproperty rights, the article studied the current situationof domestic and foreign patent applications of thistechnology, including patent application trends of thetechnology, major patent holders and so on. In particular, Qualcomm＇s LTE Direct patent applications andpatent layout is analyzed. Combined with the results ofanalysis, this article elaborated patent portfolio andpatent status of LTE Direct and the possible risks fordomestic telecommunications companies, and providereference for their LTE_A standardization strategy.
