摘要
对于文学翻译研究而言,叙事学有很强的释解力。译者在翻译过程中如何处理原作的叙事特色是文学翻译研究的一个重要关注点。《天堂蒜薹之歌》的叙事结构和叙述话语都呈现出鲜明的叙事特色。葛浩文在翻译过程中承袭了原作聚焦主体的非线性出场,部分选择了作品的多重话语叙述模式,"显化"处理了视角切换和叙述层次多样性问题。译者对原文叙事艺术的策略性处理在跨越不同文化叙事隔阂的同时再现了原作的叙事艺术,促进了小说在英语语境的传播。
In terms of the research of literary translation, narratology possesses strong explanatory power. In which way the translatordeals with the narrative features of the source text in translation is one of the major concerns of literary translation studies. The narrativestructure and narrative discourse of Tian1 Tang2 Suan4 Tai2 Zhi1 Ge1 present distinct narrative features. Goldblatt follows the non-linear structure of focalizers in the source text; partially chooses the multiple narrative patterns, applies explicitation to convey the styleof narrative perspective and narrative levels. These strategies employed by the translator represent the narrative art of the originalversion while bridging the narrative styles of different cultures, which promotes the circulation of the English version.
