摘要
综合发信号理论、效率理论以及制度理论,建立一个初步的理论框架和若干研究假说,用以解释企业自愿进行CMMI认证的动因。利用对中国企业的问卷调研数据来检验研究假说。检验结果支持了发信号理论,即CMMI是企业向潜在客户证明自己实力的信号。建议政府对CMMI认证不提供资金资助,而应提供相应的咨询服务,以切实提高企业综合实力。
This paper employs three theoretical frameworks-signaling,efficiency gains,and institutional theory-to ana-lyze the motivations for a firm to acquire international certification.We test these hypotheses in the context of CMMI certifi-cation based on data from the Chinese ITO （information technology outsourcing） industry.Our results are most consistent with signaling explanations that certification is a sign to help indicate enterprise＆#39;s capabilities to potential customers.There-fore,it is not recommended to government to provide funding for CMMI certification,but should provide consulting services to improve the enterprise＆#39;s capabilities.
