癫痫患儿血清中S-100β蛋白变化的意义

The clinical significance of changes of serum S-100β protein in children with epilepsy

目的 探讨癫痫患儿血清S-100β蛋白变化的意义. 方法 收集2010-06 ～2012-12在我院儿科确诊的癫痫患儿72例,其中新诊断癫痫组28例（全面性发作及部分性发作）;难治性癫痫44例（婴儿痉挛22例,癫痫电持续状态11例,不典型失神2例,Lennox-Gastaut综合征1例,肌阵挛性癫痫3例,无法确定类型的癫痫5例）.对照组31例均为儿童保健科健康体检的患儿.新诊断癫痫病例组确诊即采静脉血;难治性癫痫组分别于确诊及经治疗临床缓解50％以上4周时采静脉血.所有儿童均采用酶联免疫吸附试验双抗体夹心法测定血清S-100β蛋白水平.难治性癫痫患儿治疗临床缓解后4周再次复查血清S-100β蛋白. 结果 治疗前新诊断癫痫组及难治性癫痫组血清S-100β蛋白均明显高于对照组（P＜0.01）;治疗前难治性癫痫组血清S-100β蛋白明显高于新诊断癫痫组（P＜0.01）.难治性癫痫组治疗后血清S-100β蛋白明显低于治疗前.结论 血清S-100β蛋白水平可以评估癫痫的脑组织损伤程度,也可以作为抗癫痫药物疗效的监测指标.

Objective To explore the clinical significance of changes of serum S-100β protein in children with epilepsy.Methods Seventy-two cases of epilepsy were recruited from June 2010 to December 2012 in the department of pediatrics in our hospital,of which,28 cases were newly diagnosed epilepsy （generalized seizures and partial seizures）,and 44 cases were refractory epilepsy （22 cases of infantile spasms,11 cases of electrical status epilepticus,2 cases of atypical absence,one case of Lennox-Gastaut syndrome,3 cases of myoclonic epilepsy and 5 cases of epilepsy unable to determine the type）.Thirty-one healthy children were enrolled as control group.The serum level of S-100β protein was measured in all patients by double antibody sandwich ELISA （enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay）.The serum level of S-100β protein was detected again in children with refractory epilepsy at 4 week after clinical remission.Results The serum level of S-100β protein were significantly higher in refractory epilepsy and newly diagnosed epilepsy children than that in healthy control（P ＜ 0.01）.The serum level of S-100 protein was significantly higher in refractory epilepsy group than that in newly diagnosed epilepsy group （P ＜ 0.01）.In refractory epilepsy group,the serum level of S-100 protein was significantly lower at 4 week after clinical remission than that before treatment.Conclusion The serum level of S-100β protein is helpful to assess the extent of brain damage in children with epilepsy,and it also can be used as an indicator for monitoring the efficacy of anti-epileptic drugs.
