Scientific knowledge about earthquakes has become a public concerned content in recent years, in order to popularize the earthquake science knowledge among the public better, designed the earthquake science video on demand system which was based on the streaming media technology. This paper describes the earthquake science video on demand system design, system implementation of the key technologies as well as the applications in seismic industry.
