Advanced Placement Courses in Senior High Schools in China:Theory,Value and Action Strategies

大学先修课程是在普通高中开设的、由部分高中生选修的、具有大学水平的学术性课程。大学先修课程联接大学和中学从而打造完整的育人链条;它具有很强的专业性,属于学术性课程,因而只适合部分学生选修。在我国,近年来大学先修课程已经引起很大关注,不少高中也尝试进行了实践,但总体而言缺少一套成熟的制度设计和行动规则。除了需要教育行政部门的政策规范之外,在实践上也需要有一个比较清晰的行动路径。

Advanced placement courses are a series of special college-level learning experience which are developed in senior high schools for some of the high-achieving students. From the perspective of the curriculum objective, advanced placement course is a kind of joint to combine middle school and university. As the courses are specialized and academic, they are suitable for some high-achieving students to select. In China, advanced placement courses attract great attention in recent years; even some senior middle schools try to put them into practice. But generally, we still lack perfect systems and action rules. Besides certain educational policy, we need some action strategies, such as to set up a perfect demonstration procedure, to link closely the senior middle schools and universities to develop the courses together, and to form a third-party agency to audit and evaluate the courses.
