番禺鳌鱼舞是广东地区独具特色的传统民间舞蹈,它是活态的非物质文化财产。虽然其艺术形态在传承中有所变化,但却始终承载着番禺沙涌人"独占鳌头"的人文情怀。对鳌鱼舞的历史渊源与艺术形态进行探究,旨在拓展该民间舞蹈的传承领域,使之从广场走入课堂甚至是专业舞台,从而得到更高层面的保护、传承与发展。

Panyu Ao Yu Dance is the traditional folk dance with unique locality of Guang Dong Province, being a living intangiblecultural property. As an art form of folk original ecology, Panyu Ao Yu Dance embodies humanistic feelings of people in Panyu Shayongthrough the evolvement of the dance forms in the process of inheritance. The article aims to expand the inheritance of this folk dance byexploring its historical origins and the dance form development. Folk dance research combined with dance teaching in local colleges isthe way to popularize the dance from the local squares to the college classrooms, and to further promote the protection, inheritance anddevelopment of the folk dance.
