文化传承与创新是大学英语教学的根本使命。由于大学英语教学文化观念错误、课程文化知识缺乏、文化氛围缺失和教师文化素养不高等文化荒漠化因素,使得当前大学英语教学偏离了文化传承与创新这一根本使命。回归文化传承与创新的根本使命是新时期对大学英语教学提出的必然要求,而重塑大学英语教学文化理念、增强大学英语课程文化内容、营造大学英语教学文化氛围、提高大学英语教师文化素养是大学英语教学复归使命的具体策略。

The cultural inheritance and innovation is the basic mission of university English teaching.Because of the concept of university English teaching Cuitural mistakes, lack of cultural knowledge,curriculum culture atmosphere and lack of cultural accomplishment of teachers, present university Englishteaching is deviated from the fundamental mission of cultural inheritance and innovation. The return tothe fundamental mission of cultural inheritance and innovation is the inevitable requirement of the newera of university English teaching. To make university English teaching revert the mission, we shouldrebuild the cultural idea of university English teaching, enhance the content of English curriculum,construct university English teaching cultural atmosphere, and improve the cultural quality of universityEnglish teachers.
