江西宁都客家方言有体标记"呃",可用于谓词后表达完成体和持续体,也可用于句末,表达事态出现变化。"呃"还可引出情态补语。"呃"有可能来源于"在"义介词"喺"的语法化。
The aspect marker [ ei ]呃 in Ningdu Hakka dialect, Jiangxi province, indicatesperfect aspect and durative aspect after a predicate, and indicates the changes of state ofaffairs at the end of a sentence. It also introduces a modal complement. It appears in MeixianHakka dialect in Guangdong province, Liancheng Hakka dialect in Fujian province and someGan dialects neighboring Hakka dialects, but functions differently. The aspect marker [ei ]呃 may have grammaticalized from the preposition [ hei] 呃, indicating location.
