摘要
组氨酸三聚体家族蛋白Htp是一类广泛分布于链球菌属的细菌表面蛋白,其氨基酸序列的典型特征是存在多个重复出现且高度保守的组氨酸三聚体基序His-x-x-His-x-His。该家族蛋白在细菌的生理和致病过程中发挥重要功能。本文简要综述了该家族蛋白的发现、结构特征、分类、在细菌致病过程中的作用及其作为潜在的蛋白疫苗侯选分子的最新研究进展。
Histidine triad proteins(Htp)are a family of proteins found on the surface of members of the genus Streptococcus.Their defining feature is the presence of multiple copies of the characteristic histidine triad motif His-x-x-His-xHis,which is highly conserved in various organisms.Htp play important roles in streptococcal physiology and pathogenicity.This review briefly summarizes the discovery,structure,classification,putative functions,and role of Htp in pathogenesis as well as the latest findings with regard to the potential for this intriguing protein family to serve as components of vaccines.
