摘要
目前,工科院校专业英语不受重视,与用人单位对专业技术人才专业英语应用能力要求高形成矛盾。培养既懂专业又懂英语的人才是发展方向,以专业导向进行英语教学是培养国际化的第六代工程师的重要手段之一。根据对企业、学生、教师的调查,设计了贯穿大学四年的递进型专业导向性英语教育体系以促进学生在大学期间完成由综合英语向专业英语的转变。实践证明,该教学模式可行,效果良好。
CET4 or CET6 dominates the English teaching in engineering colleges, DUt tnose English courses relating to specialty are ignored. For the sharp increase in technique communication with foreign com- panies, the existing English teaching could not meet the higher requirements from employers for grad- uate's professional English. According to surveys for requirements from employers, students and teachers, an innovative English teaching mode relating to specialty was designed to help students to learn EAP, ESP and specialty knowledge in English. A team consisting of different major teachers put the mode into effect and gradually modified it during the past four years. It is a trend to have capabili- ty of both English and specialty for the sixth generation engineers, which should be emphasized in the training scheme.
