通过借鉴前人对高校图书馆网站服务的研究理论,对中美两国高校图书馆网站服务的现状进行调查,在选取代表性的中美高校图书馆进行实证调查与分析的基础上总结归纳中美高校图书馆网站服务的各自特点,并通过对比中美高校图书馆网站发展的实况与差异,为中国高校图书馆网站的改革创新提供参考。

This paper conducts an internet investigation on the status and characteristics of university library websites in A-merica and China, using previous theory researches on university library website service for reference.Based on empirical research on selected university library websites, their characteristics in both countries are concluded to find out the shortages in China＆#39;s univer-sity library websites.Therefore, this research provides references for reform and innovation of China＆#39;s university library websites.
