It can be described that WANG Wei,among the poets of the Tang Dynasty,is a mix of contradictions. Frustration in politics and the poet＇s belief led to his choosing a middle way of both being an official and living in seclusion. WANG Wei＇s life experience as well as his journey of the heart is reflected in his poetry,which includes the breath of aristocrats,the charm of the Tang dynasty and the subtle leisure or loneliness.
