Chitosan exhibits excellent dyeing, fixation, anti-bacterial and anti-wrinkle effect, which has been widely used for wool fabric dyeing and finishing. Basic properties of chitosan and wool fabric were introduced. The application of chitosan in wool dyeing, anti-bacterial, and anti-felting finishing and the current progress were mainly discussed. And the application of chitosan combined with other substances and technologies in wool dyeing and finishing was also analyzed.
