论儒学对刘熙载书法美学思想的影响——从“中和”“狂狷”“乡愿”谈起

On the Influence of Confucianism on Liu Xizai's Aesthetics of Calligraphy——Talking from the Confucian thoughts of “zhonghe”,“kuangjuan” and “xiangyuan”

刘熙载是晚晴一位涉猎很广的美学家,其书法理论收在《艺概·书概》及《游艺约言》之中。刘熙载的美学思想深受儒家思想影响,其书法美学思想也不例外。刘熙载将儒家的"中和""狂狷""乡愿"引入其书法美学思想,使得其理论极富文化底蕴。细细品味《书概》、《游艺约言》,能够使读者深入到文化的层面去领略中国书法艺术的意蕴。

Liu Xizai was a famous calligraphy theoretician and critic in the later period of Qing Dynasty. His discussions of cal-ligraphy theory were recorded in Yi Gai Shu C.-ai and You Yi Yue Yah. His aesthetics including calligraphic aesthetics was deep-ly influenced by Confucianism. The introduction of Confucian thoughts of ＂zhonghe＂, ＂kuangjuan＂ and ＂xiangyuan＂ made hiscalligraphic aesthetics full of rich cultural heritage. Careful reading of his books can make people understand the meaning of Chi-nese calligraphy better from the cultural aspect.
