对以儒教形式复兴儒家的几点困惑

A Critical Reflection about How to Revive Confucianism in A Religious Form

近年来提倡复兴儒教的声音颇高,其中一个重要原因是,希望模仿基督教、佛教等建立宗教组织,为儒家的复兴注入活力。本文认为这一观点有一定的片面性。儒家是全面入世的,它的组织方式从一开始就注定了与一般宗教不同,没必要模仿其他宗教建立组织;其次,今天儒学衰落的根本原因在内而不在外,未能在今日生活中激活其价值、向世人呈现其无穷的生命力,不要幻想建立基督教那样严密的组织来解决问题。

Many scholars have proposed reviving Confucianism in a religious form in recent years.One of the most important reasons they do so is to learn from the organizations of other religions such as Christianity and Buddhism. This paper aims to criticize this opinion. The author argues that the Confucianism is oriented toward this world rather than another world,and with a great ambition to reconstruct this world completely; this is why it has always had a different kind of organization from other religions. Moreover,the decline of Confucianism today is largely due to modern Confucians themselves who are unable to animate Confucian values in modern life and display its great significance to modern people. Thus the biggest obstacle of Confucian revival never does come from the fact of lacking religious organizations.
