Dubai, as one of the 7 Arab emirates, is the core force of the rapid development of global economy, and has achieved success in the multi-type commercial development. Jebel Ali free zone w a s established in 1985. Now there are 7300 companies from 125 countries in this zone and more than 120 of them are the world top 500 enterprises. China is the second biggest trade partner of UAE. The volume of trade hit 19 billion US dollars. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between these two countries in 1984, China has always been an important trade partner of UAE. China is also the biggest trade partner of Jebel Ali free zone. At present, more than 170 Chinese companies are in the free zone. Nearly 60% of the total volume of trade of the two countries is in the form of entrepot trade.
