The paper expounds the connotation of evidence - based medicine and selective dissemination of information （SDI） service as well as the necessity of evidence - based medicine SDI service, discusses the conditions of hospital library carrying out evidence - based medicine SDI service, including abundant evidence - based medicine information resources, convenient network device, compound talents, etc. The concrete implementation process is also introduced.
