Rational determination and effective control of project cost passes through the entire project construction process. It is the core of project construction management and is also deeply concerned by the constructing organization. From the point view of design institute, the paper tries to analyze the problems existed in the project cost management and discuss how to effectively control the project cost for improving the investment benefit.
