地域学研究的几个基本问题——以“桂学研究”为例的探讨

SOME FUNDAMENTAL ISSUES IN TERRITORIAL STUDIES: Discussions Based on the Studies of Guangxi Area

"地域"成"学",各具学术基础、理论体系、社会需求及现实价值,而一些基本问题则是共有的。就桂学研究而言,其一,地域学研究以"人"为本,广西地域居住人口构成多民族性的特点及各种成分的士人,应该予以更多的关注。其二,地域学研究的独特性视角是地域,广西远离文化中心而又是中华文化向外域传播的前沿,由此构成桂学的特殊形态。其三,地域学研究各具独到的学术价值,桂学研究作为新兴学问,既在于追溯学术之源,更应当注重其关注当前、放眼未来的应用价值。其四,地域学研究的社会意义,一般是传承本区域最具有时代价值的民族和谐精神,而建设桂学,更是要确立桂学在中华文化发展传播中的地位与作用,为中国东盟自由贸易区的发展提供文化智力支持。其五,桂学研究又承担着建立新型的地域之学的责任,既有一定方向的科学研究目标,又要为社会服务并培养人才。

There are different academic foundations, theoretical system, social needs and practical val- ue in researches of territorial studies. However, some fundamental issues are in common. Taking the studies of Guangxi area for example, five basic issues need to be discussed. Firstly, territorial studies are people oriented. More attentions should be paid to characters of the multiple ethnic minorities and heterogeneous in- tellectuals in Guangxi. Secondly, the unique angle of territorial studies is territory. Guangxi is far away from the center of Chinese culture and frontier where Chinese cultures transmit to the outside world. Thus the special form of the studies of Guangxi area is composed. Thirdly, territorial studies are of academic values. The studies of Guangxi area, as a new field of research, should pay more attentions to the application value both at present and in the future than to the academic history. Fourthly, the social significance of territorial studies is generally to inherit the harmonious national spirit that suits to the time most. The construction of studies of Guangxi area needs to establish its status and role in the transmission of Chinese culture and to provide more intellectual support for the development of China - ASEAN Free Trade Area. Fifthly, the stud- ies of Guangxi area shoulder the responsibility to establish new territorial studies. It needs to establish objec- tives of scientific research in certain directions and to train talents for society at the same time.
