伍尔夫雌雄同体思想的模棱两可性

On the Ambiguity of Woolf's Thought of Androgyny

伍尔夫在《一间自己的房间》当中提出了雌雄同体的观点。她认为雌雄同体的头脑是创作的源泉,也是作家最为理想的状态。但是在《奥兰多》这部小说中,具有雌雄同体特征的奥兰多却并未表现出最佳创作状态。反而这种特征让他经历了身份危机以致最后疯癫。本人将对比这两本著作,分析伍尔夫雌雄同体理论和实践中的差别并分析该理论的模棱两可的表现。

In her novel＂A Room of One＇s Own＂, Woolf proposed the view of androgyny. She held that an androgynous mind is the source of creation, as well as the most ideal state of a writer. But in her novel ＂Orlando＂, Orlando, with the androgynous feature, has not expressed the best state of creation, but instead, the fea-ture makes him experience an identity crisis, leading to his in-sanity at last. The writer compares the two novels, analyzes the differences between theory and practice of Woolf＇s thought of an-drogyny, and analyzes the manifestations of the ambiguity of the theory.
