世界上任何一种语言都植根于特定的文化背景之中。文化的差异导致人们对同一个数字赋予不同的情感和意义,产生不同的联想。本文从中西方对数字"七"不同的解读中,探讨中西方数字文化的差异,从而更深入地了解中西方文化的差异。

Any language in the world is rooted in specific cultural background. Cultural differences make people endow the same number with different feelings and meanings, engendering differ-ent associations. Through the different understandings of the number＂seven＂in China and Western countries, this paper ex-plores the differences of number culture in China and Western countries, in order to gain a deeper understanding of Chinese and Western cultural differences.
