金砖合作的两面:基于中印两国媒体评论的实证分析

Two Faces of BRICS Cooperation:Empirical Analysis based on Press Editorials

通过对中印两国媒体对金砖合作的评论性报道（2011-2013年）的实证分析，本文发现，中印两国关系是金砖合作最敏感、最脆弱的一环。中印两国媒体对金砖合作的态度和观点也相应地在多个侧面出现分化：两国对金砖议题的关注有集合，也有差异；对诸议题的讨论，都存在内部争论和外部差异；整体而言，两国对于金砖合作有一定的分歧，也有相对的共识。为此，我们认为，金砖合作并不必然一帆风顺，而是动力与阻力并存，只有通过恰当的努力，才能充分发挥其巨大的潜力，并以此为平台改善两国关系。

On the basis of empirical research of editorials on BRICS cooperation abstracted from both the Chinese and Indian media from 2011-2013,this study finds that bilateral relations between India and China are the most sensitive and fragile aspect of BRICS cooperation.Attitudes and points of view found in the media in each country differ in several respects:(1) there are differences in the set of BRICS issues covered in each country;(2) there are differences in the domestic discourse on BRICS in each country;(3) on the whole,both divisions and consensus can be identified around cooperation in each country.Based on this analysis,we argue that BRICS cooperation will not progress smoothly,but that various factors will both drive and obstructing cooperation.Only through requisite efforts on both sides can the great potential of BRICS cooperation be realized.At the same time,the BRICS platform also has great potential vis- a- vis the improvement of bilateral ties between the two countries.
