It is necessary to introduce the gas liquefaction experiment into the laboratory for the building environment and energy application engineering specialty of Petroleum Universities, according to the training program and goal of our college.Above all,the development scheme of gas liquefaction experiment platform is studied. The liquefaction flow of single mixed refrigerant cycle is used.On the basis of the safety and economy, the mixture of R134a,R23 and R14 is used for the refrigerant, and CO2 is the liquefied object. The phase-change refrigeration technology of Freon at the higher temperature zone is applied for the liquefaction flow according to actual conditions of the laboratory. Then, the feasibility of gas liquefaction experiment is analyzed for the undergraduate education. Some influencing factors are also discussed, such as the safety and expense of the experiment, the area of the experiment platform, and the teaching time. Finally, the experimental projects of the correlative gas liquefaction are discussed on the platform, which will improve the experimental projects for building environment and energy application engineering of Petroleum University. The teachers may guide students to design the experiment independently, which can enhance their understanding of gas liquefaction, and cultivate their innovation consciousness and practical ability. Also,it conforms to realize the goal that is construction of the comprehensive and design experiment.
