On the Bronze Wares Dating Method of the Western Zhou Dynasty

本文在梳理中国传统的西周铜器断代的7种方法的基础上,对过往方法的利弊进行了重新的检视,提出了运用考古类型学建立年代框架再结合传统方法断代和陶范断代法两种方法,并论述了其优势。

Based on the summary of the Chinese traditional seven dating methods of the Western Zhou bronzes, and discussing the advantages and disadvantages of thoes methods, this paper proposes two new methods and discusses their advantages. The first is framework, and then combine traditional methods to to use the archaeological typology to establish chronology date. The second is to use the dating method of pottery mould.
