摘要
教育在国民性发展中具有两种主要作用:保持国民性的延续和促进国民性的重塑。教育通过参与个体与文化环境的作用过程延续国民性,并通过变革自身改造国民性。在教育对国民性产生作用的过程中,社会发展状态、文化和教育发展水平等因素均产生了重要的影响。教育对中国国民性的塑造表现出延续和重塑国民性的综合性,并兼顾着传统和时代发展两个方面的要求。
Education has two main functions in the development of national character: keeping the continuation of na- tional character and promoting the reconstruction of national character. Education gets involved in the interaction between individuals and cultural environment to keep the continuation of national character, and changes itself to reform the national character. Factors like social development, cultural and educational development have an important influence on the pro- cess where education affects the national character. In shaping the Chinese national character, education shows the com- prehensive continuation and reconstruction, which meets the requirements of tradition and the development of the times.
