The content and management procedure of instrument loop package are expounded. The basic function and application in management of instrument loop package of SmartPlant instrumentation （SPI） software are analyzed. Combining with actual construction of large petro-chemical EPC project in Saudi Arabia over the years, new management method of process control engineering under integrated portfolio management team （IPMT） management mode, and management process and key content and others in instrument loop package management and loop test based on SPI software are described in detail. It assures completeness of project documents and timely project completion.
