Delayed Recognition refers to those papers initially unnoticed or unused, but then was considered very important, whose defini-tion based on times cited after publication. This phenomenon is mainly related to resistance of scientist community to scientific discoveries, journals quality which scientific discoveries published in and scientists' academic position in scientific community, while the awake mecha-nism of delayed recognition papers chiefly affected by length of the sleeps, depth of sleeps, the research environment as well as those who awake those papers. Delayed recognition phenomenon could be further studied and expanded in several aspects such as defining standards, mechanisms, applied research and forecasting.
