Traditional amusements of Western ethnic groups overflow with Bakhtin＇ s so-called carnival traits. Life of Western minorities is full of amusements for they integrate entertainments into their living environment, festival celebrations and local customs, which constitute a unique system of cheerfulness of the ethnic tradition. Especially, in all kinds of ceremonies, entertainments run through the whole process. Through entertainments they adhere to the holiness and dignity of their tradition. As an organic part of the sacrificial ceremony, folk dance becomes a holy performance.
