摘要
本文将集聚函数引入Copeland和Taylor模型,以市场化水平为门限变量,构建了工业集聚影响环境质量的门限模型,并结合2000-2009年我国30个省市的数据,运用门限回归方法对工业集聚与环境污染的关系进行了检验。实证结果表明:工业集聚与环境污染呈倒U型关系。当市场化水平较低时,工业集聚会导致环境污染,并且随着市场化水平的提高,这种负面影响减弱;当市场化水平跨越更高门限值时,工业集聚会改善环境。本文建议根据各地区市场化进程的不同特征制定差异化政策以解决环境问题。
When the market levels exist different, the effects of industrial agglomeration on environmental pollution vary. This paper introduces the agglomeration function into Copeland and Taylor model and uses the market level as threshold variable to construct a threshold model about industrial agglomeration affecting on environmental pollution and then analyzes the relationship between industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution by using the threshold method in panel data based on 30 provinces, 2000 -2009. The empirical result shows that the relationship between industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution is inversed-U shape. When the market level is lower, industrial agglomeration leads to environmental pollution and as the market level increasing the adverse impact weakens; when the market level exceeds to a higher threshold value, industrial agglomeration can improve the environmental quality. According to different market levels we are supposed to make different policies to solve the environmental pollution. In the lower level areas, we should try our best to push ahead the market reform in environmental protection field; in the higher level areas, we should give full play to agglomeration effect to improve the environment.
