Gao Jialin, Sun Shaoping and Tu Ziqiang, these figures outlined the history of the struggle of the group called ＂country ant tribe＂ since 1980s. The Chinese contemporary youths are experiencing a process from struggling to become stronger, drowning in depravation, and finally surrendering to the fate. Their desperate struggle is highly coincide with their time. The story of Tu Ziqiang is an epitome of the doom of those ＂country ant tribe＂, reflecting the hidden trouble at the crossroad of social transition and the sorrow along with the advancing of the time. The fate of Tu Ziqiang reveals the group feature of these country youths, who have been fighting for their ideals, but eventually only become urban labors and floating ant tribes. Our society should give them more care and help.
