When compiling the Siku Quanshu and writing Si Ku Abstracts, the editors often encounter some taboo words. How to deal with these taboo words is an unavoidable problem for those compilers of the Qing Dynasty. In order to avoid these words, the compilers of the Siku Quanshu even change the original texts. The abstract of Ming Qiu Ji by ZhaoDi of Ming dynasty provides a good example to help us to understand the compilers＇ way of dealing with these problems. It will also help us to understand the culture ecology of the society during the Qianlong＇ s period, and to make a better use of these literatures.
