人力资本推动经济增长的作用机制研究

Study on the Impact Mechanism of Human Capital on Economic Growth

基于中国2002-2010年各省(区)市的面板数据,分别以国内发达省市和发达国家技术水平为边界,对人力资本作用于经济增长的机制进行了实证检验,并考察了人力资本作用机制的地区差异。研究结果表明:就全国整体而言,人力资本对经济增长的直接作用效果不明显,人力资本主要是通过技术创新、技术模仿间接作用于经济增长;在东部地区,人力资本对经济增长既有直接作用,又有间接作用,但间接作用不是通过技术创新而是通过技术模仿起作用;中西部地区,人力资本对经济增长的直接作用效果不明显,人力资本是通过技术创新间接作用于经济增长。

This paper investigates the mechanism of human capital on economic growth in China on technical border of the developed provinces in our country and advanced nations by using the province-level panel data from 2002 to 2010. We find that human capital does not have direct effect on economic development, and has indirect effect on economic development through technological innovation and technological imitation across the country. Furthermore, human capital has direct effect on economic development, and has indirect effect on economic development in east regions, but the indirect effect is through technological imitation, not through technological innovation. At last, human capital does not have direct effect on economic development, and has indirect effect on economic development through technological innovation in central and east regions.
