摘要
Embraced by the Yangtze and Jialing rivers, Chongqing is commonly referred to as the "Mountain City." The lane shares that name, as it vividly reflects the city's geographical features. Mountain City Lane is more than 500 meters long, but it is only three to four meters wide. The northern end, the highest part of the lane, is bordered by Consulate Lane; its southern end, the lowest part of the lane, is bordered by Zhongxing Road. The difference in altitude between the lowest and highest points of the lane is about 70 meters. One section of the lane was built on a clifl; Yuqiushi.
