浅析互文视角下诗词叠字英译

An Intertextual Perspective of Reduplicative Words Translation in Chinese Poetry

论述汉语叠字的特点及修辞功能,从互文性角度分析诗词中的叠字英译的可行性及翻译策略。互文理论将文学的理解、阐释和再创造的过程视为双向互动,引入对创作主体的关注,这对于诗词叠字的翻译具有启示作用,译者应当以读者的接受和原文叠字修辞功能在译文中的再现为关注的焦点,根据原作的具体情况灵活应对,以使译文同时具有作者与译者的声音,迎合读者的需求,尊重翻译各主体,达到三方的视界融合。

An analysis of features and rhetorical functions of Chinese reduplicative words has been made in this paper which is intended to probe into translatability of reduplicative words in Chinese poetry and the relevant strategies from the perspective of intertextuality. According to intertextuality, the process of comprehension, explanation and recreation of literature is an interactive whole. The focus on creation subject provides some enlightenment for translation of reduplicative words in Chinese poetry. Readers＇ reception and recapture of the rhetorical functions of the original reduplicative words in the target language are supposed to be the focus of translation. For the fusion of horizons of the three parties, translators should respect each translation subject and make their work embody the intent of writers and translators themselves at the same time.
