摘要
大学英语口语课堂中的沉默,是很多高校都普遍存在的一个现象。文章主要从学生和教师的角度对这一问题进行了探讨。导致大学英语口语课堂沉默的学生因素是学习动机不强与学习功底不足,而教师授课模式也可能导致口语课堂的沉默。因此,笔者认为大学英语口语教师应该不断完善教学思路,帮助学生澄清错误认识,端正学习态度。同时,应改变"输入式"教学模式,让学生多说。另外,还应改进教学方法,改善提问技巧,让学生在比较轻松的氛围中主动开口说英语,最终达到提高学生口语水平的目的。
Reticence in oral English class is common in many universities. This article mainly discusses the reticence problem from the angle of the students and teachers. From the perspective of students, the reticence results from their weak learning motivation and weak learning skill. While from teachers' perspective, their ways of teaching result in the reticence in oral English class. Therefore, the author reckons that oral English teachers should constantly improve teaching ideas. Teachers have to help students to clarify the misunderstanding and correct their learning attitude. At the same time, teachers should change the "input" teaching mode, letting the students speak more. In addition, teachers should improve teaching methods and improve questioning techniques. In that case, students could be able to speak in a more relaxed atmosphere, which will eventually improve students' oral English.
