摘要
视频语篇即真实场景中的演讲、电视、电影等经常在外语教学课堂中作为教材辅助材料演示,但由于分析工具缺乏或难操作,使视频语篇的研究相对滞后。基于系统功能多模态语篇分析框架设计的多模态视频分析软件MMA Video2.0为教学视频分析开通了新的途径。本文借助软件的分层标注和统计功能对一段医学会议演讲录像的多模态符号选择特点进行分析和评价,藉此探讨该软件在外语教学中的应用前景。
Multimodal video discourses, comprising the videos of speeches made in real context, TV dramas and films, are often used in the foreign language teaching class as supplementary materials of textbook. But for unavailability of analyzing software or hardness of operation, research on video discourses progresses relatively slowly among other multimodal discourse analysis. The birth of MMA Vid-eo 2. 0, a multimodal video discourse analysis software designed on the basis of systemic-functional multimodal discourse analysis (SF-MDA),opened new possibilities to the analysis of video discourses used in foreign language teaching contexts. This paper tries to apply the ranking and statistics features of the software to the analysis and evaluation of a multimodal video discourse sample collected from an international medical academic conference in order to explore the future applications of the software in foreign language teaching con-texts.
