Effects of Nd on Microstructure,Mechanical Properties and Damping Behavior of Quasi-Crystal Reinforced Mg-Zn-Y-Zr Alloy

摘要 以含有I-Mg3YZn6准晶相的Mg-3.0Zn-0.6Y-0.6Zr合金(以下简称ZWK3合金)为基体,通过加入一定量的Nd,使用扫描电镜、X射线衍射、拉伸和动态热机械分析等手段,研究了Nd对准晶增强ZWK3合金组织和性能的影响。结果表明,Nd的加入使合金中的共晶组织含量增加,且随着Nd含量增大,共晶组织由层片状转变为离异共晶,但无准晶相生成;加入Nd后的合金抗拉强度和伸长率都随着Nd含量的增加而增大,但力学性能整体上略低于基体合金;加入Nd后合金的阻尼性能有一定提升,其阻尼行为可由G-L位错模型来解释。 Mg-3.0Zn- 0. 6Y-0. 6Zr alloy(ZWK3) contained I-Mg3 YZn6 quasi-crystal were investigated by SEM (scanning elec- tron microscopy), XRD(X-ray diffraction), tensile testing and dynamic thermo-mechanical analysis. The results reveal that Nd addition can increase eutectic phase content in the alloy, and with increasing in Nd addition, eutectic structure is transformed from lamellar structure into divorced eutectic structure with absence of quasi-crystal phase. Meanwhile, the mechanical properties of ZWK3 alloy contained Nd is slightly lower than those of the matrix alloy, however, tensile strength and elongation of the alloy are increased with increasing in Nd addition. With Nd addition, the damping behavior of the alloy is slightly improved, which can be described by G-L dislocation model.
