Objective To explore the characteristics of default mode network(DMN)in alcohol addicts. Methods Thirty alcohol addicts and thirty age, gender, the extent of education and nicotine dependence matched controls were experienced rest fMRI scans in 3.0TMRI scanner, while the BOLD signal was acquired to calculate independent component analysis to extract the DMN,then the differences were analyzed. Results In contrast to controls, the alcohol addicts showed reduced DMN connectivity in the right precuneus and left cerebellum crusⅡ,while enhanced connectivity in the left posterior cingulate, right middle temporal gyrus, right superior temporal gyrus and right precuneus. Conclusion The function of DMN is abnormal in alcohol addicts. The rest fMRI have a certain extent of value to expose the complicated neuromechanism of alcohol addiction.
