Philip Larkin is one of the most representative poets of the English Movement in the 1950s. He often talks about daily life experience with spoken poetic language. Poems of Larkin are the delicate reflection of pessimistic exploration to childhood and optimistic thinking to death, and they embody his unique philosophical concepts in the theme of life. Larkin's bold and restrained poetic language not only maps his growth at different stages of life, but also interprets many practical factors behind his writing clearly.
