略论多音字的精简问题——以“普通话词表(一)”为例

On the Simplification of Multitone Chinese Characters:A Case Study of Putonghua Vocabulary (Ⅰ)

普通话中大量的多音字是汉语学习与应用的难点,有些多音字的读音需要并且可以进一步精简规范。以"普通话词表(一)"内的常用多音字为例,参照《新华字典》释义,从音义联系及使用度上分析了宜精简和不宜精简的多音字,并提出多音字的精简应以不能辨义和冗余叠置为原则。

The large number of multitone Chinese characters in Putonghua is a difficulty in Chinese study and application. The pronunciation of some multitone characters needs to and can be further simplified and standardized. With reference to the explanantion of Xinhua Dictionary, nominal multitone characters in Putonghua Vocabulary （I） are analysed from their application frequency and the connection between their pronunciation and meanings to see whether or not they should be simplified. Principles of character simplication are at last proposed： the pronunciation is not distinguishable in meaning and the pronunciation is redundant for duplication.
