从“自我”到“他者”——浅谈日本汉学的历史变迁

From “the Self” to “the Other”:A Brief Introduction to the Development of Japanese Sinology

日本汉学具有独特一面。这主要体现在它的双重性上,即日本汉学具有"自我"和"他者"的双重性质。这种"自我"和"他者"的悖论相互交错,贯穿日本汉学的历史。到了20世纪后半叶,日本汉学终于完成了从"自我"到"他者"的质的转变。认识日本汉学的这种独特性并阐明这一转变过程及内在原因,对于我们了解日本汉学和认清日本人的中国观有着很重要的理论研究价值和现实意义。

With the rapid development of China＇s economy and the great improvement of its international influence, study on Sinology gains increasing importance. Japanese sinology enjoys unique features which are mainly reflected in its duality of nature--- ＂the self＇ and ＂the other＂. The fact that the two natures always intertwine with each other is found running through the whole history of Japanese sinology. It is not until the later half of the 20th century that transformation from ＂the self＇ to ＂the other＂ gets completed. Therefore, a well command of the uniqueness of Japanese sinology and a sound explanation of the tranformation process and its internal causes are of great value in theoretical research and practice for a better understanding of Japanese Sinology and Japanese view on China.
