通过对英语词素的描述和构词过程的分析可以发现英语构词过程中所蕴含的经济原则。英语构词过程中的认知基础,即以自己的身体体验和空间体验作为认识世界的出发点。从认知的视角分析和阐释构词中的经济原则(economy principle)对英语词汇的学习和理解具有很好的启示作用。

By describing the English morphemes and analyzing the word formation, the economy principle embodied in word formation is revealed. The cognitive base of word formation is interpreted, namely one＇s own bodily experience and space experience are the starting points of knowing the world. Therefore the analysis and interpretation of the economy principle in word formation are helpful to the learning and understanding of the English vocabulary.
