On the Literary Creation of the Kong Family in Huixi during Eastern Jin and Southern Dynasties

孔氏家族成员著述比较丰富,在南朝世家大族中占有突出的地位。留存至今比较完整的作品,应用公文占有大部分,从内容上看具有明显的家族特征;此外还有一部分作品,包括诗、赋、书信等,具有较强的文学性,是孔氏家族文学中比较有文学价值的部分,在一定程度上体现出六朝文学的特点。

Thanks to the prolific literary creation of its family members, the Kong family occupied a prominent position among aristocratic families in Southern dynasties. Among complete works extant up till now, practical writings account for a great majority and axe of distinctive family traits in their content. Besides, there are some other works of distinct literary features, including poems, prose poems and letters, etc. which are a valuable part of the Kong family literature and somewhat reflects the characteristics of literature in Six dynasties to some degree.
