李大钊在他的论著中系统地介绍和阐释了马克思主义的唯物史观,充分肯定了唯物史观在马克思主义哲学中的地位,分析了唯物史观产生的必然性。李大钊的唯物史观建立在他的信仰之上,也是他深入研究东西方历史理论的理性选择,因此他对唯物史观的史学意义有着深刻的认识。通过对中外各种历史观的批评,李大钊倡导以"新史观"(唯物史观)来解释历史,指导史学研究,创造新的历史和人生。他还尝试以唯物史观所揭示的一般规律和原理为指导,对中国上古社会状况、中国近代历史、中国近代思想和伦理等问题进行初步考察,以探寻中国历史发展的客观规律。

Li Dazhao introduced and explained systematic about Marxist Materialist Concept of History, fully confirmed the position of Materialist Concept of History in Marxist philosophy, and analyzed the inevitability of emerge of the Materialist Concept of History. Li Dazhao＇s Materialist Concept of History was founded on his faith, and was also a rational choice through the study on the eastern and western historical theories. Li Dazhao understood deeply the historical significance of Materialist Concept of History. He proposed to found the＆quot;new concept of history＆quot;, i.e. Materialist Concept of History, to explain history, to guide the study on history, and to create new history an life. Li Dazhao attempted to make a preliminary investigation into some problems with China＇s ancient society conditions, modern history, ideology and ethics, and seek the historical development law of China, which is directed by the general laws and principles of Marxist Historical Materialism .
