How We Develop Application-oriented Graduates——Reflections on Development of New Local Normal Universities in Transition

地方本科院校向应用技术类型高等学校转型,重点举办本科职业教育正在进行试点,主动迎接挑战是新建地方本科师范院校的必然选择。转型的重点在怎样培养应用型本科人才,关键点在于学校发展方向的科学定位、人才培养目标的科学设置、高等教育的本质属性和职业教育的职业属性关系在教学科研中的科学处理。

To help local universities with their transition towards applied - technology - oriented higher education institutions, pilot courses of vocational properties are offered. Such initiatives are now inevitable steps for the newly -built local normal universities to take. The key to their successful transition is the development of graduates with applied technical skills. To attain this goal, the following issues should be properly handled when carrying out both teaching and research activities： rational development direction, appropriate teaching objectives, and the relationship between essential nature of higher learning institutions and nature of vocational education.
